The greatest and most fulfilling adventure of our lives is discovering who we really are. Yet, so many of us spend our lives either not really knowing, or worse, listening to a harsh inner critic that gives us all the wrong ideas about ourselves. We make the mistake of seeing self-actualization as self-indulgence, and we carry on without ever examining the most important question in the world: Who am I?
Once we answer that all-important question, we can figure out our why rather easily. The reason you may not prioritize finding yourself is because it sounds like an inherently self-centered goal, and we focus so much of our energy on those around us. But let me submit to you that finding yourself is an unselfish process. In order to be the most valuable person to the world around us, in order for us to contribute effectively and wholly to the people we care about, we have to first know who we are, what we value and, by extension, what we have to offer.
It is a two-fold process that involves breaking down and building up. Breaking down layers that no longer serve us in our lives and don’t reflect who we are, and instead building up the person that we want to be in order to passionately pursue our unique destiny. It’s a journey of recognizing your personal power, yet being open and vulnerable to your experiences. I believe we, as a people, are courageous and care deeply. We just have walls built out of fear and pain, that shield our limitless potential and install glass ceilings over our goals.
With these principles in mind, you can better appreciate my passion and dedication to helping people around the world on this very individual adventure.
I do this because:
- I have a deep conviction that we are at a critical time on the planet, and the existence of humanity, where we have the opportunity to shift the experience of existence from one of ego, suffering and disease, and security in the temporal aspects of life, to one of greater harmony and peace and true health – within ourselves and as a planet.
- I see this body of work as the intersection of holistic health, adventure, sustainability and consciousness. Investing in and studying these four areas have transformed my life.
- I believe that ALL humans crave and deserve peace, well-being and freedom, connection, community and a sense of belonging.
- I believe that the fundamental root of dis-ease is a collective disconnection from that which creates meaning: connections to Self, Spirit, Other & Nature.
- I thrive on inspiring people, creating experiences of wholeness, inspiration, and fulfillment. I have committed my life to teaching others how to live and care for themselves so they are more alive, more free, more expanded, more awake, more fulfilled, and more at peace.
Through a process of expansion, leaning outside our comfort zone, radical self care, and connection to Source/Spirit, we experience, embody and contribute to the rest of the world, deep holiness, ‘whole’liness, and union with the Divine. When I take my last breath and choose to move on to the next adventure, it is my deep desire to have created a massive wave of people living from a place of expanded hearts, experiencing more beauty and color in their lives, and continuing my mission of
“Making people and the planet: a wee bit healthier, a wee bit happier, and a wee bit holier.”
This offering to the world is a portal to give and serve from my heart in ways I never imagined. I know in my heart that I am making a powerful and indelible difference in the lives of people and the planet. I know that I am living my soul’s calling, my “dharma”, and in alignment with the Breath that gave me life.
I own and celebrate the fact that I am in the 1-2% of people who are not only sensitive (which is only 15-20% of people), but I embrace my creative genius and pioneering spirit. My service is to facilitate conscious conversations, serve my local community, lead experiential adventure travel/service retreats, and eventually, to form a living institute which creates a model for these teachings. This is my life – being present and aware, living consciously and from grace, joy, gratitude, and transferring this to all others I come into contact with. It allows me to create community and global projects that make a powerfully healing difference for people and the planet.
